NFL free agents are currently allowed to enter negotiations on new contracts; they just can’t officially sign them until Wednesday. The Raiders got their QB, the Seahawks as well, which leaves fewer and fewer options for Aaron Rodgers as he considers his future in the league. Doug and the crew do the math and conclude that the Pittsburgh Steelers makes the most sense for Rodgers and he makes sense for them.
Doug Gottlieb: “Pittsburgh is the team that is most likely, you would think, to pursue Aaron Rodgers...The Steelers, I think, have to go there. And the reason is: the only thing that you can do to control the egos of two wide receivers of that caliber and that level of ego is get a quarterback who’s so well respected and is so accomplished that you can’t say anything to him. And the only guy who is that is Aaron Rodgers.”
