Dan had an in-depth conversation with a source over the weekend who shared some proprietary information on the stunning announcement by the Browns that they will be signing DE Myles Garrett to a record setting contract after he had clearly requested a trade. Dan shares as much inside information as he can without getting himself into trouble.
Dan Patrick: “Myles Garrett, OK, I know a little more about this than I’m allowed to talk about but...I think Cleveland was pretty steadfast; they were not going to trade him. They said they weren’t going to trade him. And we thought, ‘Well, they have to trade him.’ I think what happened is; it was basically, ‘OK, what can we pay you so you want to stay here?’ And it got to $40M. I think that’s really what’s happening here.”
