Virginia Girl's Love Of Dolls Helped Her Save Baby Born In Bathroom

A ten-year-old girl from Virginia is being credited with saving her newborn baby cousin after her aunt unexpectedly went into labor in the bathroom of their home. Chloe Carrion was at her house in Fairfax County when her aunt screamed out that she had just delivered the baby. Chloe didn't believe her at first because her 21-year-old aunt had kept her pregnancy a secret from her family, according to WJLA.

"She screamed my name and she says I had a baby! And I said no you didn't, and she said yes I did," Chloe explained.

When Chloe went into the bathroom, her aunt handed her the newborn then passed out. The young girl called her mother for help before calling 911. While she waited for emergency responders to arrive, Chloe knew she had to do something, so she put the skills she learned from watching YouTube videos about caring for her dolls to work.

"The videos helped me with swaddling and cleaning him up from everything," Chloe told the news station.

Chloe's mother arrived at the home before paramedics and was shocked to see her daughter standing at the door holding the newborn, who has been named Isaac.

"I'm very proud of her. She was so brave,” Chloe's mother added. “Even as an adult, I don't think I could have done what she did.”

The baby and his mother were taken to the hospital and are in good health.
