Zimbabwe Swears In New President

The African nation of Zimbabwe has a new president for the first time in nearly 40 years.  Emmerson Mnangagwa took the oath of office today in a packed stadium in the capital city Harare.  Mnangagwa returned to the country from exile Wednesday.  He left in fear for his life after longtime dictator Robert Mugabe removed him as vice president earlier this month.

That led the country's ruling party and the military to force Mugabe to give up the office he'd held since seizing power in 1980.
